A sitcom set at an 80s themed bed and breakfast in Margate. Alfie lives at the guest house that his mother Judy owns with her and her new husband Tandeep, as well as his sister Ann-Marie. When Carly, Alfie's fiance, decides to break off their wedding the day of, Alfie's life changes forever.

Akin was born in Hamburg to parents of Turkish ethnicity. He has one brother, Cem Akin, who works as an actor. He attended the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg to study visual communications and graduated in 2000. Akin has been married to German-Mexican actress Monique Obermüller since 2004 and lives in Hamburg-Altona, close to where he was raised.
